You Are Mine

A mesmerist deep in the gloom,
Spoke softly through candlelit fume,
Her heart he did claim,
By whisper, not flame,
Her surrender; a feminine swoon.
A dark, atmospheric gothic illustration of an adult woman in her mid-twenties sitting calmly in a dimly lit study while a mysterious hypnotist gestures before her, suggesting a trance through swirling concentric patterns and soft candlelight. Her eyes are glassy and unfocused, but the scene is nonsexual, fully clothed, and psychologically eerie rather than violent. Moody shadows, rich indigo and charcoal tones, elegant Victorian details, cinematic composition.
