| Incessant Misery |
Incessant misery
Pelting me
Like torrential sheets of rain
Washing me away
Engulfed in misery
Drowning in its river
Swept downstream
Into the all-consuming whirlpool of hell
Desolation and despair
Why bother with this
Or anything else?
I'm so tired and weary
Sick of failing
Sick of feeling like a failure
I feel what I am
I resonate with eternal unhappiness
Dissatisfied with all
All dissatisfied with me
No one is pleased with my progress
Or the lack thereof
Least of all me.
Nothing positive ever happens
Just one failure after another
Waiting for the next
With bated, depressed breath
Watching the inevitable unfold
Here it comes again
Another shitty day.
